Our studio is situated in the SHADE studio at 3151 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, California 94123. We are currently providing service on an appointment basis only, no walk-ins please!

This is a deposit for a 20 minute appointment slot to receive a permanent bracelet, necklace, or anklet service. This deposit will count toward the final price of your service, which will be charged upon arrival to your appointment.

PLEASE READ:

  • Up to TWO (2) pieces may be purchased per appointment slot. If you would like 3+ pieces, please book an additional 20 minute appointment slot.
  • These are SINGLE CLIENT appointment slots. If booking for a group or friend, please make sure to purchase one appointment slot per person, or make sure every individual in your group purchases their own appointment slot.
  • We currently offer 14k Solid Gold, 14k Gold Fill, Sterling Silver, and 14k Solid Gold + Gold Fill chain and charm options.

PLEASE show up on time. Due to our tight schedule, after 5 min of a no-show, your appointment will be forfeited and deposit deemed non-refundable.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING POLICY: all appointments may be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours before appointment time, via the link provided in your confirmation email. Clients may cancel an appointment within 48 hours of appointment time if they are unable to make it, but will forfeit deposit and the ability to reschedule for free. Please note, due to high appointment demand, we unfortunately cannot make exceptions for illness or injury.

What is Permanent Jewelry?

Permanent jewelry (also known as infinity jewelry, bonded jewelry, or forever jewelry) is a unique method by which we fuse together two ends of a chain to create a seamless, elegant strand of gold or silver that adorns the wrist, neck, or ankle. It is a painless process that leaves you with a piece of jewelry you may shower and exercise in, and never have to worry about taking off. Permanent jewelry is a beautiful way to honor self-love, or a unique experience to commemorate the bond with your BFF, family member, or partner. It's suitable for all ages and genders, so book an appointment for you and all your loved ones!

1. What is the cost and what are the materials used? 

We offer a variety of gold fill chains, sterling silver, and 14k solid gold chains that are priced per inch that vary from $10-$14/inch and $20-24/inch We also offer gold fill charms and 14k birthstone connectors as add ons, that you may select from during your appointment. Please note, we aim to keep all chains in stock, but cannot guarantee inventory. Please email us ahead of time (more than 48 hours before your appointment) if you want to be certain we have your desired chain.

2. Does the process hurt?

Nope! Unlike a permanent tattoo, permanent jewelry does not actually attach to your skin. The process is completely painless and utilizes a micro laser beam to weld the chain together.

3. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Google Pay. Please note, we do not currently accept Apple Pay, cash, check, or Venmo payments.

4. Can I wear my permanent jewelry through TSA?

Yes! Our chains, like the rest of our entire jewelry line, are TSA friendly, so you will never need to worry about taking it off.

5. What happens if I need to take my permanent jewelry off?

Not a problem, removing your piece is easy. Gently use a pair of scissors to cut your piece at the point where we solder it. If you keep your chain, we are happy to re-attach it for a $30 fee. Please note, chains cut off anywhere besides the solder mark are not able to be re-attached on, and a new chain will have to be purchased. 

6. Do you host groups or parties?

Absolutely! Planning a girls' night, baby shower, party or bachelorette event? Fortune tellers and face painters are a thing of the past - let us come to your event and adorn your guests with their own custom bracelet, anklet, or necklace and they'll leave with a special memory of the party for years to come. We would love to make your event memorable and are happy to host big groups, both in office or at your preferred destination. RETURN POLICY

Returns + Exchanges

All products purchased from BEADS by tara are eligible to be returned for store credit within 7 days of delivery date. We are happy to offer store credit within 7 days of delivery date if you are not 100% satisfied with your order. Please note, all fine jewelry, custom and personalized items, and sample sale items are final sale. Please take a moment to read item description carefully and measure prior to ordering to guarantee your perfect fit. 

You may initiate the return process by emailing us at help@beadsbytara.com with your name, order number, and items you wish to return for credit. We will issue store credit within 4-5 business days of receiving your return.

Conditions for Return

-Items must be unused, undamaged, and in sellable condition in order to be eligible for credit.

-All original packaging must be included (with the exception of the exterior bubble mailer

-All custom and personalized items are final sale.

-Customer is responsible for shipping fees

DAMAGES and DEFECTS

60 Day Warranty
We take pride in the quality of our jewels, but mistakes happen! All our pieces come backed by our 60 Day Warranty. In the unfortunate event of a manufacturing defect, please email us and we will issue a prepaid return label to replace the faulty piece. Alternatively, store credit may be requested if the customer does not want a replacement. Please note, our 60 Day Warranty does not cover any incurred damage from harsh wear and tear. Overstretched bracelets are considered user wear and tear. Full refunds will be made on a limited case by case basis.

Incorrect Item Received
We take pride in the quality of our jewels, but mistakes happen! In the event that part of, or your entire order is incorrect, please notify us within days of delivery and we will be glad to help with any issues! Items must be unused and in original packaging.

We want your jewels to last! Here is how to care for your BEADS | by tara jewelry.

The longevity of your jewelry will depend on several factors: 

1. CHEMICAL CONTACT: Please avoid exposing jewelry to chemicals such as fragrances, lotions, skin care, hairspray, harsh/medicated soaps and shampoos, sunscreen, chlorine, or any items containing SULFUR. Chemicals react with the base metal and may cause your jewelry to tarnish or lose its luster. Please remove jewels if you believe they may be exposed to these chemicals. This goes for all types of metals!

2. RESIDUE:
The natural oils from the skin, as well as skin pH serve as factors that affect the appearance of your jewelry. If you notice your jewelry appearing dull, clean your pieces under warm water and mild soap, once weekly. Pat dry, but do not rub. Please avoid using abrasive fabrics such as towels or clothes to dry your jewelry. A microfiber cloth is gentle and effective. Once a month, you may use a gold-polishing cloth to maintain the luster of your pieces or if you notice any areas looking dull or darkening.

3. STORAGE:
It is imperative to properly store your jewels. Again, this goes for all types of metal! While it is appealing to display your shiny pieces in plain view, oxygen in the air may promote premature oxidation and tarnishing of the metals. It is recommended to store your pieces in a jewelry box, or in our vegan suede jewelry pouch that comes with your order. Please keep out of areas of prolonged moisture, such as in bathrooms.

GOLD FILLED

Gold filled metal consists of a thick layer of solid gold bonded (using heat and pressure, not painted), to a base, commonly jeweler's brass. Due to this pressure bonding, gold fill metal is second to best after solid gold, if properly cared for, can withstand the forces. The US industry standard for gold fill metal requires the metal to 5% gold by weight, or 1/20 of the metal's weight in solid gold. 

Gold filled jewelry is extremely durable, yet cost efficient-making it a highly desirable metal to create with. Gold filled jewelry is typically water resistant, but not 100% tarnish resistant.

GOLD VERMEIL
We utilize high quality gold vermeil, essentially meaning a thick layer of 14k gold is plated over a 925 Sterling Silver base. The industry standard requires that gold vermeil pieces be 3 microns of gold plating. Be careful, not all gold vermeil is created equal! We ensure our pieces contain 3 microns of plating so they last.
A key characteristic of gold vermeil jewelry, compared to gold plated jewelry, is that it is hypoallergenic to the sterling silver base metal. However, gold vermeil pieces are not 100% water resistant- the gold plating may wear away over time, but if properly cared for, may last several years. It is therefore key to remove these pieces prior to exposure to water or any chemicals from above. Please follow the same chemical contact, residue, and storage guidelines listed above.

GOLD PLATED
Gold plated jewelry consists of a thin layer of solid gold plated over a base metal such as brass or nickel. Our gold plated jewelry is coated in a thick poly coat to ensure shine and extra protection that typical gold plated jewelry does not possess. Nevertheless, it is recommended to remove all plated jewelry prior to exposure to water or chemicals, as your jewels may tarnish or oxidize. Please follow the same chemical contact, residue, and storage guidelines listed above.

We ship all over the world! International shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Please note, we are not responsible for any customs or duties collected upon delivery.

Route insurance

Nobody wants lost jewelry.

We are happy to offer shipping insurance via Route, which is a nominal fee automatically added to your cart. Route offers a replacement order or reimbursement for any packages that are lost or stolen in transit. Please note, we are not responsible for the delivery of packages once they leave our office. Removing Route insurance from your cart voids any responsibility if your package is lost in transit. Route does not cover replacement or reimbursement of packages marked as "delivered" by USPS.

RETURNS

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your order. If for any reason you'd like to return your items, we offer store credit for unused and unworn items returned to us within 7 days of delivery. Please email us at help@beadsbytara.com to initiate the return process.
